Maher Markabi joined the TD Auto Finance team in mid-summer in the role of Director, National Sales – Recreational Products. Markabi has been with TD Bank since 2005, serving as a Commercial Relationship Manager in Halifax and Toronto, and most recently as a Manager, Commercial Credit, with TD Bank Group.
Bob Eddy assumes new responsibilities as Vice President / National Relationship Manager at TCF Inventory Finance. Working from TCF’s offices in Oakville, Ontario, Eddy will be working closely with RV manufacturers and dealers across Canada.
George Steinsky, former VP of Retail Sales for RBC Automotive Finance, has joined Hyundai Capital Canada as its new Vice President Sales and Marketing.
Steinsky says his immediate responsibility in his new role will be to build and develop sales team to manage dealer and OEM relationships with both KIA and Hyundai, with a greater goal of establishing Hyundai Capital as a leading captive finance source in Canada. His new responsibilities include coordinating B2B and B2C marketing programs for the Canadian marketplace.
Well known in the Canadian RV industry, Steinsky has held a number of senior executive roles at RBC, including VP of Retail Sales, Automotive Finance; Director, Strategy and Business Development Personal Lending Products;
Senior Manager Installment Credit Personal Lending Products; and Senior Account Manager/Team Leader – Business Banking.
Carlos Lobo joined GE Capital, Commercial Distribution Finance in July, in the Relationship Manager, RV role. Working from GE’s Mississauga, Ontario office, Lobo brings several years of related experience to his new role, including previous positions as Senior Manager, Business Development for BDO Canada, Business Development Manager, Canada, for Coffey International Ltd. and Director, Client Development with Deloitte and Touche.
Jayco Inc. announced that Mike Aplin has joined the company as Senior Director Of Product Development for Jayco’s toy-hauler product offerings.
Aplin will lead Jayco’s toy-hauler product-development team with responsibility for the development, execution and rollout of all new product initiatives, as well as establishing, and executing marketing strategies for all Jayco toy-hauler brands. He will also be responsible for coaching and training Jayco dealers and regional sales managers to grow sales and market share for Jayco’s toy haulers.
Jayco also announced that Marc West has been named Vice President Of Customer Service for the Jayco Motorhome Group. West will be responsible for all motorized technical service and dealer support, warranty, and factory service.
With West’s move to the Jayco Motorhome Group, Dave Eash has accepted the position of Vice President Of Customer Service for the Jayco towable division. Eash will manage technical service and dealer support, warranty, and factory service for the towable division along with consumer affairs and parts for all Jayco and Starcraft products.
Brad Whitehead succeeds Eash as Vice President Of Jayco Towable Sales. Whitehead started his career in the RV industry in 1984 and most recently worked as director of sales and marketing for the Skyline RV group.
Chadd Johnson joins Cruiser RV as Regional Sales Manager responsible for the company’s Radiance, ViewFinder and Enterra brands in Canada and the Eastern United States.

Winnebago Industries has named Maggie Hughes to the position of Social Media Marketing Specialist.
In her new position, Hughes, 23, becomes responsible for the distribution and monitoring of the Company’s social media. “We are excited to have Maggie join the Winnebago marketing team,” said Winnebago Marketing and Sales Promotion Manager, Kelli Harms. “Social media has grown into a vital communication tool among RVers and those interested in our industry. With Maggie’s expertise and background, I’m confident that she will grow our presence in this area and further solidify Winnebago as the most recognized name in RVs.”
Jeff Hanemaayer Recognized For Industry Contributions At CRVA AGM
One of the highlights of the 2014 annual general meeting of the Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association (CRVA) was an appearance by former Roadtrek President Jeff Hanemaayer.
Hanemaayer attended the event at the invitation of CRVA President Roger Faulkner, who presented him with a special award on behalf of CRVA and Go RVing Canada in recognition of his many years of dedication to the Canadian RV industry. The presentation was made at a dinner held in Hanemaayer’s honour at Araxi Restaurant in Whistler, BC.
While serving as President of Roadtrek for many years, Hanemaayer became a co-founder of Go RVing Canada, in collaboration with Roger Faulkner, Peter Bingman, John Pryde, Roger Davies, Lawrence Donnell, Don Mockford, Tim Stover, Len McDougall, Sharon Burgis, Ken Saulnier, Norm Smith, Maryse Catellier and Earl Manning.
Hanemaayer announced his retirement from the RV industry in May of 2013. He has since focused on spending time with his family and enjoying mountain biking.
