Kampgrounds of America, the Billings, Montana based campground chain, has released their 10th annual survey of camping trends.
This research, conducted by the Cairn Consulting Group, is the most comprehensive analysis of leisure travel trends and outdoor preferences within the camping community.
The research is being released in ten stages – the first portion of the report was presented by Toby O’Rourke, President and CEO, KOA, at the annual RV Industry Power Breakfast in Elkhart, Indiana on May 9. This annual event, facilitated by our friends at RVBusiness Magazine, brings more than 1,000 of the industry members together to learn from the leaders in the field – the RV dealers, manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, and campground operators who play a key role in the future of the RV sector.

The video presentation is an outstanding analysis of who our customers are, what they expect from us, and how we should adapt to changing times to fill the needs of present and future RV and camping families.
The second of the supplemental reports, on Camping in Canada, was released on May 28, 2024.
These reports go far beyond what KOA needed to know to fine-tune their operations – the research surveys are replete with a wide range of demographic information on your target audiences, as well as insights into the previous and future camping trends.
