Recreation Safety Products announces new line CO/LP, CO and LP alarms for RV and Marine
Recreation Safety Products, headquartered in Orange, CA., is proud to announce the launch of its new Waypoint branded line of combination CO/LP, CO and LP alarms for use in the RV and marine markets. The CO/LP and CO alarms meet the new UL 2034 standard that goes into effect on June 26th, 2026. Among many other changes, the new standard requires the addition of a secondary power supply. The integrated backup battery is designed to last the full 5-year life of the alarm.
“We are extremely excited to announce the launch of our Waypoint brand of CO/LP, CO and LP alarms for use in RV’s and boats”, said Chad Christensen, Owner of Recreation Safety Products. “Our advanced robotic based manufacturing facility will produce premium quality alarms featuring extremely low power draw and will be rated for use in both 12V and 24V systems” Chad added.

The Waypoint line of alarms will match the same footprint as other popular alarms, and each alarm will include two universal mounting brackets to facilitate easy replacement of most alarms on the market. For market representation, RVLI, LLC will be representing the product line for the RV and marine aftermarket in the US and Canada as well as RV OEMs in Canada and on the West Coast of the US. ABC Marketing will be representing the line for the RV OEM market in the eastern half of the US.
The Recreation Safety Products ownership team brings many years of alarm manufacturing expertise to the industry and will be participating in the upcoming RVIA Aftermarket conference in Orlando this August. Waypoint alarms are expected to be available for purchase in Q3 of this year. www.recsafetyproducts.com
