Elkhart, Ind. — Lippert Components, Inc. (LCI®) announces today that its industry-first automatic leveling system for travel trailers, Ground Control® TT, will be offered as an optional feature on Forest River’s 2017 Rockwood Signature Ultra Light and Flagstaff Classic Super Light travel trailers. As the RV industry transitions to automatic leveling systems, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) are turning to the innovative Ground Control TT leveling system as a technologically-advanced alternative to traditional, manual leveling systems for travel trailers.

Lippert originally brought automatic leveling technology to the fifth-wheel market in 2009. Today, the majority of fifth-wheel manufacturers offer it either as a standard feature or as an option. LCI introduced its industry-first automatic Ground Control TT leveling system for travel trailers in April 2016 and expects to achieve similar results.

With a newly designed LED interface, Ground Control TT levels travel trailers in under three minutes by simply pressing the Auto Level button. Once the automatic leveling sequence is set into motion, a set of front and rear jacks stabilize and level the trailer using LCI’s [patented] leveling technology. Ground Control TT also features LCI’s newly designed Smart Jack™, a power tongue jack that works in harmony with the leveling system featuring an auto reconnect memory function that returns the hitch to the exact height at which the auto-level process was started, making re-hitching easy. The Smart Jack also features refreshed aesthetics, a battery level indicator, backlit controls and an auto-retract function.

LCI’s Ground Control TT travel trailer leveling system will be on display at the 2016 Elkhart RV Open House on 2017 Forest River Rockwood Signature Ultra Light and Flagstaff Classic Super Light models.
