The RVDA of Alberta would like to offer a tremendous thank you to all of our industry colleagues from across the country, who so generously and graciously donated their money and time in support of those who suffered horrible losses to wildfires in recent weeks.

Even without the enormous upheaval from the fires, this has been a hectic spring in Alberta. The RVDA of Alberta would like to congratulate William Yachuk of Rangeland RV in Calgary, as the winner of the top apprentice for 2015! William was acknowledged at the Annual Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Awards, held on April 15 in Edmonton.

Upcoming industry events in Alberta include our members’ golf tournament, scheduled to be held on August 10 once again at the Alberta Springs Golf Resort in Red Deer. Registration information will be announced soon.

Our popular Trouble Shooter Clinic is back this year and will be held in Calgary from October 24 to 28 at the Clarion Hotel and SAIT. Registration includes shuttle service to/from the Clarion Hotel to SAIT, lunch and coffee breaks, a detailed course manual and a certificate for designated continuing education credits upon completion of the clinics and attendance to all assigned classes.

We are also well underway with planning for our 2016 AGM, which will begin with a golf tournament at Bear’s Best Golf Course in Las Vegas, following the next day with the AGM at Bally’s Hotel on November 7th. Any RVDA of Alberta member who registers for the RVDA of Alberta AGM and who also registers for the National Conference will receive a $500.00 rebate upon being present at the RVDA of Alberta conference. For information or to register, please contact Karen or Carrie in the office as soon as possible at 1-888-858-8787
