ATHENS, TX, July 30, 2024 – The National RV Training Academy (NRVTA) proudly announces its acquisition of the Recreational Vehicle Service Academy (RVSA), an esteemed RV technician training school founded in 1986 and based in Florida. This strategic move marks a significant milestone in NRVTA’s expansion plans for its educational and association programs, reaffirming its dedication to delivering comprehensive RV education and positively impacting the RV community.

Michael Tibbs, owner of RVSA, expressed his confidence in NRVTA’s ability to continue the academy’s legacy. “I wanted the school to go to the NRVTA because they are a credible organization. I knew they would honor the existing students and provide a way for our graduates to keep their certification. I wanted to make sure there was always a path forward, and now, they would be in good hands.”

RVSA has been a cornerstone in RV technician training, offering hands-on courses that culminate in the prestigious Master RV Technician certification. Over the years, RVSA has been recognized for its high standards and comprehensive training programs, producing skilled technicians who are well-prepared to meet the demands of the RV service industry.

As part of the acquisition, RVSA members will be offered membership to the Recreational Vehicle Technician Association of America (RVTAA). This membership includes benefits such as special rate insurance for mobile technicians and access to the national technician & inspector locator, a tool that connects certified technicians with customers in need of RV services. The RVTAA, currently at 1500 independent members, is expected to see an influx of up to 300 new mobile technicians from RVSA, further extending its reach and enhancing the RV service experience nationwide.
