CRVThe Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association (CRVA) has announced that they set record numbers for attendance during last week’s Toronto Spring Camping & RV Show and Sale which ended on February 28th at The International Centre in Mississauga, Ontario.

The RV Show billed as “The BIG One” did not disappoint consumers as seen by countless positive messages and feedback on the Show’s social media pages. Show Management also conducted a survey of Dealer and Booth Exhibitors who gave a 4.31/5 rating when asked about their success and satisfaction during the 4-day event.

The Toronto Spring Camping & RV Show offered a Grand Prize RV & Camping Accessory package worth over $15,000 which included a new sport edition Rockwood Folding Tent Camper from Forest River which proved to be very successful in contributing to bringing new buyers to the RV Show. “We had several Computer Tablets set up in front of the RV for attendees to enter into a draw and the display area was a zoo the whole show” said Shane Devenish, CRVA Executive Director. “It was very evident walking around there were more RV Lifestyle “newbies” at this show than at previous shows in recent history and this is exactly what we had hoped to accomplish”

Partnerships with Forest River, Dodge Ram Trucks, Arctic Cat, Golf Town, Cottage Toys, Dometic, Truma, My Custom Sports Chair, Dickson BBQ, Coleman Canada and Berkley Fishing all also helped to create the perfect experience for RV consumers.

Shannon O’Callaghan, CRVA’s Show Director commented on the amount of “non-traditional” media who came out to walk the show and inquire about the RV Lifestyle and Camping Experience. “What surprised me was the amount of Chinese press who came by the Show. We are aware that the RV Industry in China is growing quickly, but it is very evident that the interest has extended into North America as well. We had several long interviews with a variety of reporters and have offered our assistance to give them whatever information they need in the future for their publications. We need to attract new ethnic groups into the RV Lifestyle and we feel our show offers the perfect chance for those interested to get a feel and learn more about RVing”.

Given the current state of the economy in Canada, CRVA hopes that the overwhelmingly positive results of their RV show, held in Canada’s largest City, turns out to be a positive watershed moment for the 2016 calendar year for RVDA of Canada Dealers and CRVA Member Manufacturers and Suppliers.
