RV Women’s Alliance Welcomes New Managing Director
A Special Report from our friends at the RVWA
The RV Women’s Alliance has recently hired experienced association management professional Patricia Carrera to serve as the organization’s new managing director. Trish, as she likes to be called, has extensive experience providing strategic leadership and program expertise while driving daily operations, membership recruitment and services, and organizational strategies. These skills are critical as the RV Women’s Alliance continues to deliver on our mission to educate, elevate, and promote women in the RV industry.
“Trish comes to us with incredible experience delivering value to members and partners while harnessing the power of volunteers, something that is very important to the success of our organization,” said RV Women’s Alliance President Susan Carpenter. “The board was very impressed with the breadth of her skills and her passion for promoting women throughout her career.”
“Supporting and promoting women in traditionally male-dominated industries has been a passion of mine for my entire career,” said Trish. “I am very excited to bring together my personal love of RV’ing and my professional experiences helping women thrive in their careers through programs and education.”
Most recently, Trish served as the Managing Director for Professional Education at the American Diabetes Association where she led all aspects of planning and execution of the Association’s annual conferences, including education strategies, program development, marketing, and virtual and in-person experiences. She has held leadership positions with the Association of Legal Administrators, the State Bar of Wisconsin, and the American Bar Association. Trish has a law degree from DePaul University.
Over the coming weeks, Trish will transition fully into the position with the assistance of current Managing Director Jessica Rider.
“In less than five years since our founding, the RV Women’s Alliance has accomplished incredible things, thanks in part to the management and dedication Jessica provided over the past two and a half years,” continued Susan. “Jessica was the perfect person to serve as our first managing director. Her management of the organization, operational expertise, and work with the Board of Directors helped set the groundwork for the long-term success of our organization.”
“Working with the members and leaders of the RV Women’s Alliance has been a very rewarding part of my career,” said Jessica. “I am very proud of the progress our organization has made and I look forward to supporting Trish as she leads the organization into this next chapter.”
All RVWA members and industry partners are invited to meet Trish and thank Jessica for her service at the RV Women’s Alliance Open House Breakfast on Tuesday, September 26, at 7:30am at the RV Hall of Fame. Thanks to our generous sponsors and supporters, the Breakfast is free to attend but RSVPs are required.
