The RVDA of BC was saddened to learn of the tragic losses suffered by residents of Fort McMurray and surrounding areas to wildfires in early May. The association was pleased to donate $5,000 in support of people impacted by these terrible events. Tremendous support has also been provided by individual RV dealerships in BC.
The association’s AGM and 23rd annual “Fun Raiser” event will be held on September 7 and 8, 2016 in Kelowna. The AGM, featuring regular association business and a roundtable / pressing issues discussion facilitated by Harvey Cohen, will be held at the Sheraton Four Points Hotel, located adjacent to the Kelowna airport. Registration begins at 4:30 pm with a call to order at 5:00 pm sharp.
Directly after the AGM, our Fun Raiser event kicks off with a meet-and-greet cocktail reception, followed by dinner and entertainment. Both live and silent auctions, a 50/50 draw and awards are scheduled. The fun starts at 7:30 pm at the Sheraton Four Points Hotel, directly after the AGM.
The following day the fun moves to the Sunset Ranch Golf Club in Kelowna. Following breakfast at the Sheraton, our Texas Scramble golf tournament kicks off beginning at noon. Lunch is provided, along with golf, a shared power cart, refreshment cart vouchers, skill holes, and a shuttle to and from the golf course.
For those who prefer grapes to fairways, a winery tour with lunch is also available, with bush pick-up at the Sheraton.
The event wraps up at the Sheraton Four Points Kelowna on Thursday evening with the annual dinner banquet, featuring a live auction and awards presentations. The evening begins at 7:00 pm.
Cost for this event is $250 for RVDA of BC members, and $300 for non-members. A room block has been reserved at the Sheraton Four Points Kelowna, offering special promotional pricing. Please quote RVDA of BC when booking to receive the promotional rate. Traditional guest rooms are avail-able at $149 per night, with some suites available by special request by calling Bryce Maloney at (250) 807-7421 or emailing Bryce.maloney@fourpointskelowna.com. The room block will expire on August 7, so don’t delay.
Last year’s Fun Raiser generated a donation of $5,872.50 for the Canuck Place Children’s Hospice. Please support this great initiative, enjoy some socializing with industry colleagues, and keep abreast of what’s happening in your association.
