RVDA of Canada Board Elects Dale Hopkins from RV City, Morinville, Alberta, as Chairman of the Board

Richmond, BC, November 13, 2023 – Dale Hopkins of RV City in Morinville, Alberta, has been elected as the new Chairman of the Board of the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) of Canada.
Dale Hopkins, a Morinville, Alberta resident, currently holds the position of Chief Operating Officer at RV City.
With a Chartered Professional Accountant designation earned in October 1999, Dale’s career journey within RV City is a testament to his dedication and commitment to the organization.
Dale’s association with RV City dates back to when he was just 17 years old, starting in the parts department. Over the course of 35 years, he diligently climbed the corporate ladder, eventually reaching his current role as Chief Operating Officer.
RV City, a well-established business operating for nearly half a century, proudly serves as an exclusive Jayco dealer for the Edmonton area, with two locations in Morinville and Nisku Alberta.
RV City has been recognized with the Alberta RVDA Dealer of the Year award in 2008 and 2012, in addition to the prestigious Jayco Founders Award in 2012.
Beyond his professional life, Dale enjoys the RV lifestyle alongside his wife of 27 years, Shelley. He also takes immense pleasure in spending quality time with his two grandsons, alongside his son Matthew and his wife Sarah. Notably, Matthew serves as the Parts Manager at RV City.
Dale has made significant contributions to the RV industry, having previously held the position of President of the RVDA of Alberta. Dale has also served on the RVDA Convention/Expo committee for the last four years, and is a current member of RVIA’s Canadian Coalition Committee.
Dale joined the RVDA of Canada Board in 2018. His enthusiasm for advancing the industry’s future has led him to extend his involvement to the National Board, with the aim of broadening his understanding and making a positive impact on the RV industry’s trajectory.
