The Future of All-Electric Class B Motorhomes

From a legacy of tradition to Coachmen’s $150,000 all-electric RVEX, travellers can now enjoy a cleaner, quieter, and more convenient RV experience.

Middlebury, IN – Coachmen RV, a division of Forest River Inc. and a pioneer in innovative motorhome design, proudly announces the upcoming release of the RVEX, its first all-electric Class B motorhome. Combining advanced technology with sustainable power, and sleek luxury, the RVEX is set to redefine the future of RV travel and mark Coachmen’s strategic entry into the all-electric motorhome market.

Engineered to cover an estimated range of 270 miles on a single charge, the RVEX offers an impressive balance of performance and practicality. Priced with a targeted MSRP of $150,000, it brings cutting-edge electric travel to a broad audience of modern explorers, tech enthusiasts, and sustainability-minded travelers.

Among the RVEX’s standout features is a versatile interior designed for both comfort and functionality. Power sofas transition seamlessly into a king-size bed for optimal sleeping space, while a separate house lithium system and 1,000-watt roof-mounted solar array support extended off-grid adventures. At the rear, a large tailgate makes it easy to load gear and bikes opening the space to the great outdoors. Finished with a bold, aerodynamic exterior and aftermarket rims, the RVEX delivers a look as striking as its performance.

“The RVEX represents a bold first step in Coachmen’s journey into electric vehicle technology and we are bringing our A-Game to the B van category,” said Zach Eppers, General Manager at Coachmen RV. “We set out to create an all-electric motorhome that is not only innovative and capable, but also attainable. It delivers exceptional range and cutting-edge features all at a price point that makes EV travel accessible to more people than ever before.”

The RVEX also benefits from forward-thinking innovation. Partnering with Genesis Products, Coachmen incorporated innovative, lightweight materials such as G-Strong, a PET foam core replacement for OSB in the ceiling, floor and walls. In addition, the cabinetry is constructed using a combination of exclusive G-Lite plywood and Lisocore, a panel with a corrugated wood core, to save 47% of the weight compared to traditional plywood. These advances contribute directly to the motorhome’s extended range and enhanced efficiency.

Quiet. Powerful. Sophisticated. The new Coachmen RVEX marks a turning point in the evolution of motorhomes. With the final touches complete, this groundbreaking vehicle will make its public debut at the Forest River Expo this month, with production slated to begin in 2026. Dealers, partners, and RV enthusiasts are invited to witness firsthand how the RVEX is reshaping expectations of modernized mobility and setting the standard for the future of travel.
