Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association
Wholesale Shipment Report into Canada for the
First Quarter Ending March 31st, 2024

A Special Report from the CRVA

Burlington, Ontario, May 28, 2024 – The Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association reports that RV Wholesale Shipments into Canada for the 1st Quarter ending March 31st, 2024 totalled 8,086 units compared to 7,082 in 2023, representing an increase of 14.2% year over year.

According to Statistical Surveys, RVDA of Canada reported that retail activity during the 1st quarter of 2024 totalled 4,485 units and when compared to the wholesale shipment figure of 8,086 units, Canadian RV dealer inventory levels significantly increased during the period which would be considered to be normal as Dealers replenish their inventory for selling season and RV Shows early in 2024.

The Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association is optimistic that the trend will continue to be positive in 2024 given reported success at retail shows this year which attracted a large number of RV enthusiasts and potential buyers across Canada.

As economic conditions stabilize, anticipated interest rate cuts take place and consumer confidence grows, it is expected that more and more individuals and families will look at RVs closely again as a viable option for travel and leisure entering the summer months.
