The RVDA of Canada has announced the election of Sam Parks of Camp-Out RV Centre in Stratford, Ontario as the new Chairman of the Board of the RVDA of Canada.
Camp-Out RV is a family-owned and operated RV dealership that was established some 50 years ago by Sam’s parents. Sam and Debbi Parks have been the owners of the dealership for more than 20 years.
In the official announcement, RVDA of Canada cited Sam’s dedication to the RV industry, as evident in his commitment to a range of RV related organizations, including RVDA of Canada and the Ontario RVDA. At ORVDA his volunteer work included serving on the membership committee, the education committee, the Board of Directors as well as serving as President of the association. Sam joined the RVDA of Canada Board in January 2011 and become treasurer in 2013 and vice chair in 2014. Sam also joined the Board of Directors for Go RVing Canada in 2013.
The RVDA of Canada also commented on Sam’s community involvement in Stratford, Ontario, as a strong supporter of the Sunshine Foundation, Meals on Wheels, and local soup kitchen. Camp-Out RV has also supplied trailers for the Make a Wish Foundation, Relay for Life as well as local sports teams.
Sam appreciates the importance of family values and life balance and how well this is reflected in the RV lifestyle. A camper all his life, he along with his wife Debbi and their three daughters continue to create their own camping memories when time permits.
