On Wednesday, July 22, Roadtrek Inc. released the following message to the company’s dealer network:

We are pleased to announce that ownership of Roadtrek Inc. has transitioned from Groupe Rapido to Conestogo Partners.

Groupe Rapido acquired the Roadtrek brand in 2019 and supported the return of Roadtrek manufacturing in Cambridge, Ontario. Roadtrek recognizes Groupe Rapido for its stewardship of the brand and its contributions to rebuilding Roadtrek’s presence in the North American market.

Looking forward, the acquisition by a U.S.-based, permanent capital ownership group focused on outdoor recreation further strengthens Roadtrek’s North American focus and alignment with its dealer and customer network. The investment also provides Roadtrek with additional financial strength and strategic support as we pursue our long-term plans, including continued investment in our products, operations, and dealer network.

Roadtrek will continue operating from its Cambridge, Ontario facilities under its current leadership team, with no changes to day-to-day operations. Our commitment to product quality and to supporting our customers, dealers, vendors, and other business partners remains firmly in place. Backed by new ownership, Roadtrek will continue building on the trusted name, loyal community, and commitment to service that have defined the brand for more than 50 years.

Looking ahead, the popular Wave Skylight, Wave SL, and Wave for 2 floorplans will continue for the 2027 model year under the Roadtrek brand. By bringing these established designs into the Roadtrek portfolio, the company will build upon their success while continuing to provide dealers and customers with the product quality, service, and brand experience they have come to expect from Roadtrek.

As part of this transition, Roadtrek will gradually phase out its licensing arrangement for the Westfalia brand in North America after completion of scheduled production. The company remains fully committed to supporting the sale, service, and applicable warranty coverage of current Westfalia vehicles in the North American market through each vehicle’s two-year warranty period. Roadtrek will also work directly with stocking Westfalia dealers to support a smooth and well-coordinated transition.

Our dealer partners are an important part of Roadtrek’s business and future success. We value the relationships we have built and look forward to continuing to work with you as we enter this next phase of the company’s growth.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support.

RV Dealer News contacted Roadtrek to learn more about this acquisition –  we  asked a range of questions covering the B2B and B2C ramifications, and we received the following answers… we will expand our Canadian coverage of this very important story as information becomes available.

Thank you for your questions. Below is what I am able to provide you at this time.

Please see the attached letter (reproduced above) that was distributed to our dealer partners on Wednesday, July 22nd. This should answer the majority of your questions.

You can find the company website for the new owners at: https://conestogopartners.com/

The acquisition included the entire Roadtrek business, and our operations will continue from the same Cambridge, Ontario facility under the existing management team and with our established dealer network. We intend to preserve our dealer relationships and, wherever possible, work with current Westfalia dealers to transition them into the Roadtrek network. As outlined in our dealer communication, the primary portfolio change will be the gradual phase-out of the Westfalia brand in North America.

Roadtrek will continue operating in the ordinary course of business. While we may explore new territories and strategic financial opportunities as part of our long-term growth plans, we do not anticipate any material changes to our current operations. Roadtrek remains a Canadian company, and we do not expect the ownership transition itself to create any new tariff implications.

Looking ahead, one of our most exciting upcoming introductions is the all-new Roadtrek Rovik—our first purpose-built overland adventure van on the Ford Transit platform. The Rovik will make its dealer debut at the Elkhart Open House, where we will also introduce formal details and presentation materials for its available adventure packages. Roadtrek will be located along Executive Parkway near the RV/MH Hall of Fame from Monday through Wednesday.

With the support of our new ownership, Roadtrek is well positioned for continued growth, new product development, and the strong customer and warranty support our dealers and owners have come to expect.
