Gary Sicard, Sicard RV, Smithville, Ontario.

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Gary Sicard, of Sicard RV, Smithville, Ontario, on April 26, 2026.

Gary made a significant contribution to the Ontario RVDA and to the RV industry at large, leading his team through decades of expansion in the RV community.

His efforts with the Ontario RV shows brought very positive attention to the industry, and his willingness to help brightened the RV experience for tens of thousands of RV enthusiasts.

Our team at RV Lifestyle Magazine and RV Dealer News had many opportunities to enjoy working with Gary on many projects over the years.

Our sincere condolences to the Sicard family, and the team at Sicard RV.

Gary was a good friend, and a pillar of the Canadian RV dealer community.

Gary Omer Sicard

October 5, 1950 – April 26, 2026

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Sicard on April 26, 2026. Gary was a devoted husband to Chris, a proud and loving father to Lucas (Cali), Aaron (Taylor), and Rachel (Don), and cherished Papa to Georgia, who brought him endless joy. Son of the late Omar and Marjorie Sicard. Son in law of Maureen and the late Jack Hayter. He was a beloved brother to Terry (Teresa), Gail, Blair (Janice), and Roger (Sue), and a dear brother-in-law to Kim (Mike) and Kelly (Carlo). Gary was also a treasured uncle to many nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

He found his greatest joy in his family, who were always at the center of his life and the source of his deepest pride and love. He was equally devoted to his work as the beloved president of Sicard RV, where his passion, leadership, and commitment left a lasting mark on both the business, customers and the many people he worked with over the years. In quieter moments, he cherished time on the golf course, finding peace, friendship, and a bit of friendly competition in the game he loved.

Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton, on Friday, May 1st from 2 p.m. till 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. till 9 p.m.

A funeral will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, on Saturday May 2nd at 11 a.m.

Family has asked to please consider donating to the Canadian Cancer Society.
